About Me
I’m Gordon, the counsellor behind SafeSpace Counselling. I am an ACCPH Level 4 qualified counsellor, registered under No. 00003420. Being an ACCPH member means I follow a strict code of ethics, work to recognised professional standards, and am committed to ongoing learning—giving you confidence that you’re in safe, accredited hands.
Before training in counselling, I spent over 12 years as a driving instructor. During that time, I found myself not only teaching but also listening. Teenagers often shared their worries, frustrations, and thoughts they didn’t always feel able to tell their parents. I became a bridge—helping both sides feel heard, seen, and better understood.
That experience lit a spark in me. I realised what I truly loved was helping people feel connected—to themselves and to others. This realisation inspired me to retrain as a counsellor and eventually led to the creation of SafeSpace Counselling.
Why I Founded SafeSpace Counselling
- To help families rebuild trust, clarity, and harmony in their relationships
- To offer practical support for parents—especially those raising children on the autism spectrum
- To create a judgment-free zone where you feel supported, not scrutinised
- To provide counselling and coaching for expats, helping them manage stress, culture shock, and the emotional challenges of living abroad
- To make space for healing, reconnection, and emotional balance
Today, I work with parents, teens, expats, and individuals of all ages—helping them find calm within the chaos, communicate more openly, and rediscover what it means to thrive together.
💬 You don’t have to do this alone. Let’s find the way forward—together.
